Circular economy and UN sustainable goals
We are contributing to a sustainable production and consumption of natural resources. A vision, which is the focus point of the Danish government in their Strategy of Circular Economy from August 2018. Read more about the strategy here. here.
Our strategy to contribute to environmental and climate improvements is based on circular economical approach. We are contributing to a sustainable production and consumption of natural resources by converting waste tires into new raw materials with a method, which supports that the recycling process of used tires and the industry’s use of residual materials becomes more environmental- and climate friendly.
In contrast to other processes of conversion of tires, the tires are converted back into the original raw materials, such as oil products, steel and Carbon Black, which does that dangerous waste will not end up in the nature. That is circular economy and not just recycling. Other recycling processes are not upcycling all parts of the tire and the residual materials will not disappear. They are being recycled in other ways and end up being combusted, which eventually leads to pollution. The environmental advantages of T2O Egebjerg’s production plant are:
- The production does not emit any pollutive rest materials, because all raw materials are converted into products, which can be used by the industry.
- • The plant is hermetic closed and does not emit neither smoke nor dust and the gas, which are produced during the process will be recycled to produced energy for the plant. Therefore, there are neither visible or invisible emissions of gasses or smell
We can help companies to contribute to the UN sustainable goals. With the UN Sustainable goals there is an increased focus on, how companies can contribute to solve some of the big global environmental challenges the world are facing today. We are able to contribute to goals 9, 11, 12 and 13, which are focusing on better infrastructure and waste management, sustainable production consumption and handling of climate change.
